Product Information

Hands down, our most popular and top-selling toolbelt is the Original Super Yankee. It’s a customer favourite, and we use it as the foundation for our Personalised toolbelt designs.

Yes, we offer both Right-Hand (RH) and Left-Hand (LH) options for most of our toolbelts. You can select your preference before adding your product to your cart.

Yes, size is important when purchasing our toolbelts. Our premium or large belts are designed to fit a 38” minimum waist. For smaller waists, we can adjust the layout by scalloping the sides of the belt, but some belts may still be too large. We recommend smaller belts for those with a smaller build to ensure a comfortable fit without excess belt wrapping around.

Please refer to our size guide for more information.

The main body of our toolbelts is available in Black, Chocolate Brown, or Barlie leather.

The coloured leather options (Blue, Green, Gold, Olive, Burgundy, Red, Navy, etc.) are typically used for features, as they tend to be slightly lighter than the main leather. You can mix and match the main body and feature colours, for example, Black with Barlie features or Barlie with Brown feature pockets. These options are available with personalised orders.

In shop direct, you can choose from Black, Brown, or Barlie. Note that both the Barlie and Brown leather are two-toned, so you’ll see a natural tonal difference between the front and back of the belt.

Most of our premium toolbelts come with a leather belt, as it provides essential stability to the belt. For smaller or different layouts, such as those for Plasterers, Fixers, Electricians, or Kid’s toolbelts, we use webbing belts instead.

You’ll find the specific belt type included in the product description for each item.

Currently, we don’t sell plastic inserts for chisel pockets, but we’re always exploring ways to improve our products.

As an alternative, we rivet the bottom of the pocket to minimise the risk of a chisel going through. We also recommend placing a small amount of sawdust or a ball of cotton wool with a small amount of oil at the bottom of the pocket. This acts as an additional barrier and will protect your chisel.

Yes, we do! The doggie bar is typically located on the opposite side of the hammer holder and is riveted in place, between the pockets of the belt.

If you prefer a separate doggie bar sling, it’s available as part of the personalisation option.

The speed square is a popular personalisation request. It is added as a separate pocket in the toolbelt, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with the nail pocket space. You can select this addition during the personalisation process.

Custom Embroidery

Yes, you can personalise your toolbelt with your name or logo. You can choose to have your logo on the pouch or belt loop. For larger logos, we recommend the belt loop for more space.

You can upload a logo file or enter your name before you add a product to your cart. After processing your order, we’ll get in touch if we have any questions regarding your embroidery.

  • Logo Artwork Setup & Embroidery: $65.00
  • Name Embroidery: $23.00

These options are available before you add your product to your cart.

Custom Toolbelts

The price for a custom toolbelt can vary significantly depending on the level of customisation, added features, and embroidery. Prices generally range from $250 to $1500 NZD. Please browse our website to see available options and find what suits your needs.

The consultation fee is $80.00 NZD, which includes the consultation itself and Glen’s custom design drawing. Once you approve the design, we’ll provide a final quote and schedule your custom piece for production.

Important: The consultation fee is deducted from the total cost of your custom toolbelt when you proceed with your order.

As custom pieces require careful attention, we offer only 10 consultations per month to ensure high-quality results.

Personalised: This option allows you to choose from several additions to your toolbelt. For example, you can select features like a speed square pocket, braces, or a phone pocket for the nail pouch. If you add internal pockets, such as for nippers, the design will automatically adjust to ensure there's space for these additions. You can also choose colour combinations (e.g., brown main pockets with blue feature pockets) and add your logo or name. After selecting your preferences, we can send you a quote to confirm you’re happy with the design before proceeding.

Custom: If you need a completely unique layout or have very specific requirements, like a plumber’s belt or a hunter’s toolbelt, a custom order is the way to go. The custom order process starts with a consultation with Glen, which can be done in person, by phone, or via video chat, depending on your preference.

Yes, if you’ve ordered a custom toolbelt, a sketch is included as part of the consultation process. If you’ve ordered a personalised toolbelt and would like a sketch, we can arrange that for you for a $45.00 fee to cover the time required to draw it up.

We can also provide drawings for our standard range upon request.

Braces

Yes, we offer 3-point harness braces, available in red or black, with options for either clip or thread attachments. Please refer to our size guide for sizing information.

Braces are available as part of the personalisation options or can be purchased separately - Please find them in our accessories range.

We prefer to fit braces for customers to ensure the setup is correct, but if that’s not possible, we’ll ask for your height to help us send the right setup. We offer both standard and tall options.

We can also add clips to the braces for easy attachment and removal.

Please note: We recommend threading your braces through the belt for optimal weight distribution. A video demonstrating how to thread your toolbelt is available on our website and Instagram page, along with a How-To section explaining various setup options.

In most cases, yes, you can fit braces to your existing toolbelt. We have how-to videos available on our website and Instagram page, along with a How-To section that explains the various fitting options.

We primarily sell directly to customers, but some of our toolbelts are available through Hamer.
